The Skorne Project - Part 3

Heres the third (and last for a while) Skorne update.

All lined up and ready to go

It took me a couple days of painting, but the entire Skorne force is now painted and ready to be based. I haven't come up with a specific basing idea yet, but it will most likely be a simple sand and flock method.

The Skorne Project - Part 2

Here they are!

First models of the Skorne unit done

I went with a really simple method to paint these guys. At the moment I'm working on speed rather than technique, once I'm quicker I can work on more advanced methods.

These guys were done with Mechrite Red, Shining Gold, Mithril Silver, Tallarn Flesh, and Khemri Brown. Then we do a complete wash with Nuln Oil, Deneb Stone for the Front Arc on the base.

A pretty basic paint job, but it's fine for a tabletop quality, and it's getting very quick to do.

Also got the last few models built, that is the metal battle box Warbeasts and Dominar Rasheth.

The Skorne Project - Part 1

In addition to the Dark Eldar I'm building and painting for me friend, I also agreed to work on his (thankfully) small Skorne force.

 

This... is a pile of bits...

And this... is a slightly more organised pile of bits...

So the army is simply the Skorne Battle Box (in metal blast it) and a unit of Paingivers. Nice and small although he does want to expand it to 25 or 35 points. The paint scheme for these guys is going to be similar to the Skorne standard colours, though I will probably use GW paints.
